Chandigarh, February 19, 2020 (Yes Punjab News)

After the historic victory of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in the Delhi Assembly elections, the party will carry forward this new model of ‘politics of work’ across every nook and corner of the country under the mission ‘Nation Building’. The campaign was formally kick started by state unit president of the party and Member of Parliament, Bhagwant Mann, here on Wednesday, which would continue till March 23.

Others present on the occasion were Leader of Opposition, Harpal Singh Cheema, Chairman state Core Committee, Principal Budh Ram, party’s Chief Spokesperson and MLA Prof. Baljinder Kaur, Political Review Committee Chairman, Harchand Singh Barsat, State Media Head, Manjit Singh Sidhu and State Organizing Secretary, Gerry Birring.

Bhagwant Mann said that under the mission, the party would reach out to every household with the Kejriwal’s development model, saying that people would be exhorted to involve in the new kind of politics – the ‘politics of work’.

He said during the campaign, the Delhi model would be placed before the people and would be replicated in Punjab so that the people could heave a sigh of relief from the divisive politics being played out and taste the fruits of the new-found model of ‘politics of work’, saying the people, post the humongous Delhi mandate, were more into development than the politics of hatred, saying that the people were expressing their keenness to take part in the new politics.

Mann said that Aam Aadmi Party had launched a nation-building campaign across the country following the stunning victory of the party on February 11. Mann said that the ‘politics of work’ brought in by the Aam Aadmi Party in Delhi was highly applauded by the people.

He added that the Aam Aadmi Party government’s focusing on the welfare of schools, hospitals, water, electricity, women safety and people-centric issues that had actually played out in terms of massive changes that followed.

The AAP MP said that the development model of Delhi government was being adopted in some states of the country, saying that states were replicating the Delhi’s education model and Mohalla clinic models, adding that some states were allowing free electricity to the people as in the capital city of Delhi. Mann said the people across the country, sick of the politics of caste and colour, had turned to the new model of work and development.

Bhagwant Mann and other leaders said that the wholesome message of the Aam Aadmi Party grand win in the Delhi assembly elections had gone across length and breadth of the country. Under the mission, Punjab unit of the party would reach out to every household with the Delhi model of development.

On the occasion, the party also released mobile number 9871010101 for public inquiries etc. Mann said thousands of such posters put up across every assembly segment along with the mobile number. In addition, the Aam Aadmi Party’s Punjab unit would also provide information through media about the Nation Building campaign major cities.
