AAP installs WiFi hotspots at Singhu border, Raghav Chadha supervises functioning

New Delhi, Dec 30, 2020 (Yes Punjab News)
Raghav Chadha, senior AAP leader, and the AAP Punjab’s co-in-charge, today visited the Singhu border to ensure proper installation and functioning of five free WiFi hotspots on the border for protesting farmers.

He ensured the installation of the WiFi hotspots himself by being present at the location. Shri Chadha had yesterday announced that Sewaadar Arvind Kejriwal will begin another sewa for farmers at the Singhu border. The decision was made after several farmers had complained about poor connectivity and a bad network at the Singhu border.

Shri Chadha said, “We had received complaints from several farmers that due to poor connectivity and reception at Singhu border, they were unable to stay connected with their families, they were unable to make video calls. Sewaadar Arvind KejriwalJi decided to do something about this, which is why as promised yesterday, we’ve begun the installation of free WiFi hotspots.”

Shri Raghav Chadha also said that based on feedback from farmers with respect to places at Singhu with poor reception, some WiFi hotspot areas had been shortlisted. “Yesterday, we had requested our farmer brothers and sisters to tell us about the spots at Singhu border where they’re facing poor network issues.

Based on their feedback, we’re installing WiFi hotspots as per their requirement. And as maintained, we vow to install as many WiFI hotspots as required for the farmers. We would also like to tell our farmer brothers that should similar demands arise from the Tikri border, we will extend this facility there as well.

Better connectivity will enable the farmers’ access to social media to give a befitting answer to BJP leaders who’ve been spreading fake news about them. In addition, they will be able to make as many video calls with their loved ones as they want.”

Talking about how the farmer movement is growing stronger by the day with farmers from across the country marching towards Delhi, Shri Chadha said, “One can gauge the importance, the relevance of this movement from the fact that farmers from different parts of India are marching towards Delhi to fight for their rights.

This is a historic movement, and as you know, several farmer brothers have been living away from the warmth of their homes and their families for a long time. Their families will be concerned about them. Their friends would want to speak with them.

They in turn would be eager to see the faces of their parents, spouses, and children. By installing free WiFi hotspots here at the Singhu border, we hope that despite the distance, our farmer brothers may feel a little closer home.”

He also said, “Bad reception at the Singhu border prevented our farmer brothers from making video calls to their families. Therefore, based on their feedback, on their requirement, sewadar Arvind KejriwalJi decided to install free WiFi hotspots at the Singhu border.

We hope that with this tiny contribution of ours, our farmer brothers will be able to see their loved ones via video call. For a person who puts his blood and sweat to earn an honest livelihood, staying connected with his family is paramount.”

After installing the five free WiFi hotspots, Shri Chadha said, “We hope that each farmer here at the Singhu border will now be able to make full use of the WiFi facility, and see his aged parents, talk about his day with his anxious wife, sing a lullaby to his young child, share a joke with his friend.

A farmer is our god, and there can be no limit to serving our god, our annadaata. Sewaadar Arvind Kejriwal and we at the Aam Aadmi Party will stand by our farmer brothers and sisters till the end. We are doing what any family member would do – turning up for them.”
