Gaurav Tura IPS (2014) Wednesday assumed office as SSP Kapurthala.
After assuming charge of his office, Toora said that efforts will be made to prevent the spread of drugs and strengthen law and order in the district.
The IPS officer said, “Drug smugglers will be dealt with strictly, while awareness seminars will also be organized in educational institutions to create awareness about the ill effects of drugs so that a public movement can be created for the prevention of drugs.
Earlier, a contingent of Punjab Police presented a guard of honour. All SPs, DSPs, and other officers welcomed IPS Toora.
The new SSP also met with senior officers, and in addition to collecting information about the district, the officers were asked to perform their duties with full dedication.
SP Sarabjit Rai, SP Gurpreet Singh, all DSPs and other officers were present.
