AAP Govt’s Aam Aadmi Clinics have sparked Health Revolution in Punjab: Neel Garg

Chandigarh, September 24, 2024 (Yes Punjab News)

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and senior spokesperson Neel Garg praised the achievements of the Mann government, stating that March 16, 2022—the day Bhagwant Mann took office as Chief Minister—marked a turning point for Punjab.

Addressing the media at the Chandigarh party office on Tuesday, Neel Garg highlighted that since Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann assumed power, young people are receiving appointment letters for government jobs almost every day. He noted that common citizens are benefiting from free electricity, and farmers are getting canal water for their fields.

At the same time, a health revolution has emerged in Punjab through the Aam Aadmi Clinics. A total of 872 clinics have been established across the state, serving approximately 60,000 patients daily. Just yesterday, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann dedicated 30 Aam Aadmi Clinics to the public, emphasizing that the previous dispensaries existed only in name and lacked proper treatment facilities.

The introduction of Aam Aadmi Clinics has significantly reduced the crowding in district hospitals and other large government facilities, allowing for better treatment as the time of specialist doctors is no longer wasted on minor ailments like coughs and fevers. Garg noted that just a few days ago, Punjab ranked number one among 85 countries in an international survey.

He stated that, thanks to Aam Aadmi Clinics, the people of Punjab have saved approximately Rs 1,030 crore over the past two years, as these clinics provide 80 types of medicines and 38 types of tests for free. Beyond offering free health services, Aam Aadmi Clinics have also created thousands of jobs by recruiting medical, paramedical, and other staff.

Neel Garg urged the people of Punjab to take advantage of the Aam Aadmi Clinics and called on the Central Government to release funding for Punjab’s National Health Mission.

He encouraged Leader of Opposition Pratap Singh Bajwa to visit the Aam Aadmi Clinic in his constituency to see the commendable work the AAP government has done in the health sector. Garg remarked that while Bajwa often questions the government, he rarely responds when they provide answers. In fact, even yesterday, Bajwa did not reply to their comments.
