Reflecting on his international journey, Sandhwan referred to the philosophy of Sahib Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji and highlighted the global contribution of Punjabis through their hard work, talent and commitment to their roots.
He said Punjabis living across the world continue to carry Punjab’s language, culture, heritage and values of unity and service with them.
During his tour, Sandhwan visited Berlin in Germany, where he met officials of the Indian High Commission and members of the Punjabi community to discuss regional issues and concerns of NRIs.
In Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, he held discussions with members of the Sikh diaspora on strengthening emotional, cultural and social ties with Punjab. In Penang, he met Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow and Deputy Chief Minister Jagdeep Singh Deo to discuss the welfare of the Punjabi community and explore avenues for cooperation in various sectors.
The tour also included community events and high-level meetings in Canada and other countries, with discussions focusing on Punjab’s development and strengthening international relations.
According to Sandhwan, key areas discussed during the visits included attracting investment and generating employment in Punjab, promoting industrial and trade cooperation, expanding direct international flight connectivity and involving the global Punjabi diaspora more actively in the state’s development.
