Punjab Industries and Commerce Minister Aman Arora held a series of meetings with leading UAE business groups and investors in Dubai to promote investment opportunities in the state and showcase its Industrial & Business Development Policy-2026 and single-window clearance system.
During his engagements, Arora assured prospective investors of time-bound facilitation, responsive governance and dedicated end-to-end support through Invest Punjab.
Earlier, Dr Emmadi Vishnu Vardhan Reddy, Consul General of India in Dubai, hosted Arora for breakfast, where they discussed investment promotion in Punjab, strengthening investor engagement and measures to further enhance investor confidence.
Arora also held one-on-one meetings with senior business leaders, including Sharaf Group President and CEO Shyam Kapur, Mount Meru Group President Energy Atul Mittal, Al Dobowi Group Chairman Surendra Singh Kandhari, Jacky’s representative Jacky Panjabi, Apparel Group Chairman Nilesh Ved, LuLu Retail Holdings PLC Group Director – Global Operations Salim M.A. and GEMS Education Founder and Chairman Sunny Varkey, among others.
The discussions explored sector-specific investment opportunities, business-to-business partnerships, technology collaboration and greater UAE participation in Punjab’s economic growth.
Highlighting the Industrial & Business Development Policy-2026, Arora said the policy seeks to create a competitive and investor-friendly ecosystem, accelerate industrial growth, improve ease of doing business and promote employment-generating investments.
He said Invest Punjab would function as a single-point facilitation hub for approvals, clearances, land-related assistance and end-to-end handholding of investment projects.
Arora said Punjab’s strategic location, connectivity, skilled workforce, established industrial base, entrepreneurial talent and access to a large domestic market make it an attractive destination for investors. He invited UAE-based companies to benefit from the state’s policy incentives and business ecosystem.
Punjab is seeking investments in food processing and agro-based industries, logistics and warehousing, education and skill development, manufacturing, information technology, renewable energy and other emerging sectors.
The minister also met India’s Ambassador to the UAE, Sh. Deepak Mittal, IFS, at AIM Dubai. Their discussions focused on exploring sector-specific collaboration in skill development, agriculture and food processing.
Arora highlighted the incentives being offered by Punjab to attract investment, promote entrepreneurship, create employment and develop a globally competitive industrial ecosystem.
He said Punjab’s participation in AIM Dubai was part of the sustained efforts of the Bhagwant Mann-led state government to engage global investors and showcase opportunities emerging from the state’s revamped investment ecosystem.
“Our objective is not just to bring in investment, but to forge long-term partnerships that generate employment, strengthen industry and accelerate Punjab’s economic growth,” Arora said.
The Punjab delegation, led by Arora and comprising CEO Invest Punjab Amit Dhaka, Director Industries and Commerce Jaspreet Singh and MD Punjab Financial Corporation Senu Duggal, is continuing its meetings with UAE-based and global investors to identify concrete investment proposals and facilitate partnerships with the state.
