The District Administration Amritsar has cancelled the licence of Visa Vision Immigration Service, located at SCO No. 89, 4th Floor, National Tower, Ranjit Avenue, Amritsar, for carrying out visa consultancy services.
The action was taken by Additional District Magistrate Ms. Pallavi Mishra under the provisions of the Human Smuggling (Prevention) Act, 2012 and the Punjab Travel Professionals Regulation Act.
According to the District Administration, the licence holder was issued a show-cause notice following the registration of multiple criminal cases against the firm at Ranjit Avenue Police Station, Amritsar, on different dates. The cases included allegations related to cheating, criminal conspiracy and violations of provisions under the Punjab Travel Professionals Regulation Act.
The Additional District Magistrate said that the response submitted by the licence holder against the show-cause notice was found unsatisfactory. Following this, the licence of the firm was cancelled with immediate effect as per the provisions of the applicable laws.
Ms. Pallavi Mishra further stated that in case any future complaint is received against the licence holder or the firm regarding violation of the Act or rules framed under it, the licence holder, owner or proprietor of the firm will be solely responsible for all legal consequences and liabilities, including compensation, as prescribed under the law.
