Guru Nanak Dev University, a premier NAAC ‘A++’ accredited institution, has officially announced that it has been entrusted by the Government of Punjab with the responsibility to conduct the Centralized Online Admission and Counselling process for all law programs across Punjab state for the academic session 2026-2027.
The state-level counselling, covering prestigious government-aided and private law colleges across Punjab, will be managed under the guidance of the Department of Higher Education, Punjab.
To ensure a seamless, transparent, and efficient admission process, the Vice-Chancellor of Guru Nanak Dev University has appointed Prof. (Dr.) Preet Mohinder Singh Bedi as the Coordinator and Dr Meenu Verma as the Deputy Coordinator to ensure a seamless execution of the admission and counseling procedure.
Guru Nanak Dev University will handle the centralized admissions for several undergraduate law programs, including: BA LLB (5 Years), BBA LLB (5 Years), BCom LLB (5 Years),LLB (3 Years).
These admissions cover institutions affiliated with Guru Nanak Dev University, Panjab University, Chandigarh, Punjabi University, Patiala, Vice Chancellor Prof. Karamjeet Singh said that the university has announced that the entire process will be conducted online, adhering to strict merit-based guidelines.
The 2026 prospectus, along with the detailed schedule, eligibility criteria, and fee structure, will be available on the official dedicated website.
He said that “Guru Nanak Dev University is committed to upholding the highest standards of transparency in this statewide admission process. Under the guidance of Vice Chancellor Prof. Karamjeet Singh, the specialized team is fully geared up to ensure a smooth transition for the academic year 2026, ensuring that qualified students gain seamless access to top law education in Punjab,” said a spokesperson from the university.
Prof. Bedi said that candidates are advised to regularly visit the official portal for updates on application start dates, merit list publication, and counselling schedule.
