Member of Parliament from Chandigarh and former Union Minister Shri Manish Tewari held a meeting with residents of Sector-22 today, where he listened to their concerns and assured them of timely redressal. He was accompanied by Chandigarh Congress President H.S. Lucky and other senior party leaders.
While addressing the gathering, Tewari emphasized that the holistic development of Chandigarh and resolving the issues of its residents is the primary objective of the Congress party. He informed the audience that he has already issued directions to concerned officials during recent review meetings on various central schemes. He is also actively contributing funds from his MPLAD quota for the development of the city.
Tewari also highlighted the recent historic developments regarding the mayoral election process, describing it as an attempt to undermine democracy.
Earlier, MP Tewari expressed gratitude to Punjab Youth Congress General Secretary Aman Slach for organizing the meeting, stating that such efforts will further strengthen the Congress party in Chandigarh.
Speaking on the occasion, H.S. Lucky said that the maximum development in the country has taken place under Congress governments. He also appreciated the continued efforts of MP Tewari towards the development of Chandigarh.
Among those present were former Deputy Mayor Balraj Kumar, Chandigarh Congress Treasurer Vikram Chopra, General Secretary Narendra Nandi, and Maninder Pal Sidhu.
