Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Cabinet Minister Mohinder Bhagat expressed concern over the attack on BJP leader Manoranjan Kalia’s house and assured that the Punjab government will ensure strict punishment for all culprits involved in the incident.
Following the incident, Mohinder Bhagat met Manoranjan Kalia at his residence in Jalandhar. The minister inquired about his and his family’s well-being and assured them of justice.
While speaking to the media, Mohinder Bhagat said that some antisocial and mischievous elements are unable to digest Punjab’s development, and hence, they are carrying out such violent acts.
He stated that senior Punjab Police officials are investigating the matter. The Deputy Commissioner of Jalandhar also visited the site to assess the situation. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann himself is taking this matter seriously, and all culprits will soon be apprehended and given strict punishment.
Minister Mohinder Bhagat linked this incident to gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and Pakistan. He said that such attacks in Punjab are being orchestrated by Lawrence, who is being provided full security and facilities by the BJP government in Gujarat at the Sabarmati Jail.
He further added that Bishnoi is now collaborating with Pakistan to carry out attacks in Punjab. Recently, a video call between Bishnoi and Pakistani gangster Shahzad Bhatti went viral, in which Bhatti claimed responsibility for a grenade attack in Punjab. Minister added that there is no place for such individuals in Punjab anymore. All criminals will face strict punishment and will be sent to jail.
