Haryana Sikhs with Akali Dal, BJP Stooges Won’t Succeed in Their Goal to Weaken SAD: Kaimpuri

Chandigarh, March 8, 2025 (Yes Punjab News)

The Haryana unit of the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) today asserted that the Sikhs of Haryana were steadfast in their support for the party and that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) stooges in the Haryana unit would not succeed in their goal to weaken the SAD.

In a statement here, senior leader Baldev Singh Kaimpuri, who also heads the Haryana Sikh Panthic Dal, said “the Sikh Sangat of Haryana understands why recent decisions including the removal of Jathedars were taken by the SGPC in the interest of the Panth.

They also understand that this was done to strengthen the Panth and snub those who were playing into the hands of central agencies and trying to weaken the SGPC as well as the SAD and creating divisions in the Sikh community”.

Speaking about the leaders who claimed that they had resigned from the party, Mr Baldev Kaimpuri said “these leaders had already been shown the door by the SAD because they had betrayed the party during elections to the Haryana Gurdwara elections.

Mr Kaimpuri made it clear that the leaders had already proved that they were not loyal to the SAD by extending support to candidates sponsored by the RSS in the Haryana Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee elections. “This is the reason why they are even now giving statements in favour of the BJP to please the ruling dispensation. They are in no way Akali”, he added.

The Akali leader also made it clear that the Haryana unit was dissolved some time back and disclosed that it would be reconstituted soon. He also asserted that the party rank and file had extended complete support to the leadership of the SAD as well as its policies and programmes.

Other leaders who came out in support of the SAD and expressed complete faith in its leadership and policies on the occasion included Harpal Singh Ahirwan Fatehabad, Bibi Manjit Kaur Kandhola Yamunangar, Bibi Amarjit Kaur Bawa Fatehabad, Manjit Singh Kheri Yamunanagar, Partap Singh Taraori, Balkar Singh Assandh Karnal, Gurdeep Singh Bhanokheri, Ambala, Tejinderpal Singh Dhillon, Kurukshetra,
