With a vision to create young energetic leaders for the society which are socially and politically aware, Initiators of Change organization Ludhiana held a press conference at circuit house on Monday to officially launch Speaking Minds Youth Conclave – the biggest youth conclave of Punjab to be organized in Ludhiana from 2nd to 4th August this year.
Gauravdeep Singh the founder president of the organization also a national youth awardee officially launched the conclave along with the complete team of 50 young leaders of initiators of change and with the blessings of the team mentors Shobhan Soi: Chairman Clay pre Schools, Mr. Amitoj bajaj, JP Singh MD Ramtex Ludhiana and Mrs. Baljeet kaur
Talking about the event the Public Relations Officer of the organization Ms. Vidhu said “Speaking Minds Youth Conclave 2019 is a platform which will bring together 3000 youngsters from all over Punjab to interact with some of the finest minds of the country on various Social and Political Issues. The Three – Day event will be held in the City of Ludhiana on 2nd, 3rd and 4th August 2019.”
During the course of the conclave, various Panel discussions will take place on the following topics:
· Digital Creative Industry and its future
· Defining Feminism
· Bridging the gap between rural and urban education
· The rise of Start-up culture
· Religious unity of India and the challenges head for it
· Role of youth in National politics
· Against all odds of body stereotypes
Youth Leaders: Yogendra Yadav , Madhukeshwar Desai , Kanhaiya Kumar, Bhagwant Maan , Raghav Chadha, Apneet Riyat ( IAS ), Kanupriya (President PU), Kusha Kapila ( Youtuber ) , Jeetendra Kumar ( Actor ), Shivankit Parihar ( The Viral Fever ), Arun Khushwah ( Actor ) , Mallika Dua (Actress / Comedian) Shreya Mehta (Youtuber), Jasmeet Singh Bhatia ( The viral fever), Dr. Inderjeet Kaur (Pingalwada) , Kahan Singh Pannu ( IAS ) are some of the renowned speakers invited to come as panellists at the conclave.
About the intention behind doing the event Ms. Arshpreet Kaur of the organization said, “We are doing this to give the youth of Punjab a national level exposure which we rarely get. An opportunity to interact with some of the finest minds of the county will open up the closed doors of the young minds of Punjab and will give them a vision for a better India and knowledge about various fields eventually leading to better and more knowledgeable young personalities for the state.”
About Initiators of Change:
Initiators of Change is a Ludhiana based youth organization established in 2014 with a vision to create Young energetic leaders for the country which are politically and socially aware. Doing this by working on their all round development with a formula of 4 A’s Arts, Athletics, Academics and awareness. Initiators of change has been working with Ludhiana District Administration and Municipal Corporation in various social projects.
The organization has successfully organized various youth conferences and Leadership seminars in various cities of Punjab. Padma Bhushan Dr. Sardara Singh Johl and Ambassador Deepak Vohra have been guiding this young team as mentors from last few years.
Keeping the 2017 Punjab Assembly elections in mind, we started a campaign called I vote I Lead to make the youth aware about the power of vote and to take the youth voter percentage higher. The team worked in collaboration with District election officer as the flag bearers of its SVEEP Activities.
The campaign was marked as one of the most successful voter awareness campaigns in Punjab and the team was honored by District Electoral Officer Ludhiana and Chief Electoral Officer Punjab on National Voters Day 2017. T
he team reached out to more than 35000 youngsters in 3months and also made a national record for largest gathering of youth voter card holders at one place by inviting 7000 youngsters on 29th January 2017. This Record was recognized by India book of Records.
The organization has also worked on a project named Kalam Rural Leadership Programme to work onthe education and skill development in government schools of Ludhiana district.
Initiators of Change has been honored by Election Commission of India for working at such mass level in Ludhiana district for youth Voter awareness.
Founder of Initiators of Change Mr. Gauravdeep Singh has also been honored with National Youth Award 2015-16 By Government of India.
