Will give Rs 1-crore honorarium to families of Army and Police Martyrs: Kejriwal

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has given a fifth guarantee to the people of Punjab to provide ‘Rs 1 crore honorarium to the families of martyrs’. Under this guarantee, the Punjab Government of AAP would be responsible for paying an honorarium of Rs. 1.00 Crores.

During the Tiranga Yatra at Pathankot on Thursday, Arvind Kejriwal announced his fifth guarantee. Kejriwal said that this is the land of martyrs and heroes. Most of the young men in the Indian Army are recruited from this land. Army personnel and police personnel make sacrifices for the security and peace of the country and it will be the responsibility of the AAP government to honor these fallen warriors.

Kejriwal said the Aam Aadmi Party government in Delhi pays Rs 1 crore as honorarium to the families of army personnel, police personnel and government employees who die in the line of duty.

Therefore, he (Kejriwal) has a fifth guarantee to the people of Punjab that the families of the martyred jawans of Punjab would be given rupees One Crore each as honorarium.
