Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) President Manjinder Singh Sirsa and General Secretary Harmeet Singh Kalka today said that Director Gurdwara Elections Narinder Singh has violated Gurdwara Act while postponing election for Co-option of members yesterday.
Addressing a press conference here today Sirsa and Kalka disclosed that as per act first Jathedars of four Takhs have to be elected members for DSGMC house, later member of SGPC and then lottery draw for election of two members of Singh Sabhas is done through co-option.
They said that Director Narinder Singh as per his pre planned conspiracy sought objections on election of two members of Singh Sabhas through lottery draw, though he cannot do so as per provisions of the act.
They said that as per their design and planning Sarna duo objected to election of two member and election was postponed which is illegal. They said that Narinder Singh is a paid person who works after getting money.
They said that not only this but Narinder Singh also indulged in horse trading of members and offered Rs. 2 crore each to Atma Singh Luban and Raminder Singh Sweeta to vote in favour of Sarna brothers. He also used foul language against Lubana and threatened to cancel his membership of he will not act as per his dictates.
They also disclosed that two SHOs of Police including one from Moti nagar called our member to Police station where son of Sarna was already present and asked him to take money and vote for Sarna brothers.
They said that they have filed complaint against Narinder Singh with PMO, Home Minister and Lieutenant Governor and also two complaints have been filed against him with Delhi Police in IP Estate Police Station for indulging in horse trading and threatening members. They said that we have urged PMO, Home Minister and LG to dismiss him from service and also get a case registered against him.
They also disclosed that Narinder Singh took money for allowing Parminder Singh withdrawing his nomination after 7.30 pm on September 8 though its time was upto 3.00 pm.
They also said that Manjit Singh GK and Parmjit Singh Sarna use to abuse each other have also attacked each other below the belt but now have become partners.
They said that Narinder Singh worked against Akali Dal from Day one whether barring it from contesting elections, later taking away its election symbol, making fake votes or in matter of delimitation. They said that they will ensure that Narinder Singh is dismissed from service and a case is registered against him.
Harmeet Singh Kalka also disclosed that this is 8th election of the DSGMC after enactment of Gurdwara Act and it is first time that this Act has been violated by Director. He also disclosed that we were of bad intentions of Narinder Singh, so we had requested Election Commission of India to sent its staff for conducting elections.
He said that when Narinder Singh saw that staff he took fourth step of election first so that staff could go away and he could use his free will. He said that 4 day time was given for seeking objections and 75 amendments were moved but Narinder Singh sought objections wrongly and illegally yesterday and as per their plan Sarna had brought their objections on basis of which election for co-option of two Singh sabha members was postponed illegally.
They also disclosed that they have sought a written reply from Narinder Singh for postponing election under which rule but he fled away from back door on the spot.
He also reminded Manjit Singh GK that it is same Sarna against whom he had leveled allegations to sell hospital in Rs. 300 crore besides other allegations whereas yesterday voted for him making it clear that it is only money which matters to him the most. He also reminded Sarna that it is same GK whom he had termed thief and now he is thanking him for voting for him.
Sirsa and Kalka also thanked member of Sarna group which voted for Akali Dal yesterday and also urged him to formally join Akali Dal.
