Why Can’t Rahul Gandhi, Kharge or Bhupesh Baghel Come to Punjab for Meetings: AAP

Chandigarh, March 13, 2025 (Yes Punjab News)

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab leader Neel Garg strongly criticized Punjab Congress leaders for holding crucial meetings in Delhi under the supervision of Bhupesh Baghel, Chhattisgarh’s former Chief Minister.

AAP senior spokesperson Neel Garg questioned the Congress leaders’ frequent jibes at AAP, accusing it of being Delhi-centric, while they themselves rely on Delhi for decision-making and leadership guidance.

“Congress leadership often targets AAP, claiming our governance is directed from Delhi. But today, I want to ask Leader of Opposition Pratap Bajwa and Punjab Congress President Amarinder Singh Raja Warring—why is your crucial meeting taking place in Delhi?

Is Bhupesh Baghel, your in-charge, from Punjab? Does he even understand Punjab’s ground realities? The Congress must answer why Rahul Gandhi or any senior leader couldn’t hold this meeting in Punjab. Clearly, their focus is far removed from Punjab’s issues,” said Neel Garg.

Taking a dig at the Congress’s electoral failures, Garg stated, “Whether it was panchayat elections, corporation elections, or bypolls, the people of Punjab have continuously rejected Congress. With no public support left, Congress is now resorting to spreading baseless propaganda. Instead of introspecting, they hide in Delhi, deciding Punjab’s future without any connection to the state.”

Garg also highlighted the stark difference in leadership, asserting that AAP runs its government directly from Punjab, under the proactive and hardworking leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.

“From transforming schools to providing free electricity, ensuring employment opportunities for youth, and cracking down on drug cartels, CM Bhagwant Mann has been relentlessly working for Punjab’s betterment. Meanwhile, Congress is busy holding Delhi-centric meetings, disconnected from Punjab’s people and their real issues.”

Challenging Congress, Garg concluded, “Those who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones. Congress leaders must answer whether their party is being run from Delhi and why Rahul Gandhi cannot visit Punjab for such meetings. The people of Punjab deserve better than a party that is out of touch with their aspirations.”
