Punjab Governor paid obeisance at Gurudwara Sri Bauli Sahib during the ongoing mega celebrations of the 450th Jyoti Jyot Diwas of Sri Guru Amar Dass ji and 450th Guru Gaddi Diwas of Sri Guru Ram Dass ji

Goindwal Sahib, September 13: The Punjab Governor Shri Gulab Chand Kataria paid obeisance here today at Gurdwara Bauli Sahib during the ongoing mega celebrations of the 450th Jyoti Jyot Diwas of Sri Guru Amar Dass ji and 450th Guru Gaddi Diwas of Sri Guru Ram Dass ji being organized by the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, Amritsar. He prayed to strengthen communal harmony & peace for the prosperity of the state.

Addressing the media on the occasion, the Governor said that he feels honoured as well as humbled to be a part of this monumental celebration.

He further said that not only Punjabis but even every child in India is aware of the great sacrifice given by the Sikh Gurus to save the religious culture of the country. He also said that the life and philosophy of great Sikh Gurus have inspired the selfless service of humanity.

The Governor said that the tradition of Sangat and Pangat established by the Sikh Gurus is a great example of social equality, here no one is greater based on caste or position, and everyone has to sit in the same row and have langar.

Remembering the great sacrifice of Chhote Sahibzades, he said that the religion and culture of our country survived only because of the sacrifice of our great ancestors. He said that by taking guidance from the lives of our great ancestors, we should also contribute to enriching the religious culture of the country
