Sukhbir Singh Badal, president of Shiromani Akali Dal and former Deputy Chief Minister of Punjab, who tested Covid-19 positive on Tuesday has now been shifted to Medanta Hospital in Gurugram.
Earlier he had isolated himself at home but was later admitted to Fortis Hospital in Mohali.
However, on Wednesday he was shifted to Medanta Hospital in Gurugram. Confirming the development, former Cabinet Minister Dr Daljit Singh Cheema said that SAD chief chose to be shifted to Medanta due to better arrangements and because members of his immediate family were at Delhi. He said otherwise he was feeling well.
It may be recalled that Sukhbir Singh Badal had addressed two massive rallies on Sunday and Monday. He attended and addressed first ‘Punjab Mangda Jawab’ rally at Jalalabad where he declared himself to be the next candidate from the constituency. On Monday he addressed a rally at Khemkaran, where he declared Virsa Singh Valtoha to be party candidate from the constituency.
After that on Tuesday, Sukhbir Badal himself informed in a Tweet that he has tested positive and isolated himself.
