Sukhjinder Randhawa promises to chase Majithia up to jail

Chandigarh, November 22, 2019 (Yes Punjab News)

Senior Congress Leader and Cooperation & Jails Minister Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa today dismissed the allegations leveled by Bikram Singh Majithia against him in connection with the murder of an Akali leader from Gurdaspur.

In a statement issued here today, the minister said, “Majithia was trying to divert the public attention from the issues of his involvement in drugs and that of the Badals in the sacrilege of the Guru Granth Sahib for which the Punjabis will chase them right to their grave and I promise, I will chase them to the jail”.

“I am ready for an independent judicial probe, but let me ask Majithia is he himself prepared for a similar probe against himself for his involvement in drugs and patronizing the gangsters”, he asked Majithia.

“Bikram Majithia is a failed and a frustrated man and he is trying to politicize a murder”, Randhwa said, while saying, Majithia should explain to people of Punjab that how can he justify visiting and supporting the family of a terrorist who had killed 8 members of a Hindu community after dragging them out from a bus. The terrorist, Randhawa added, happened to be the brother of the slain Akali leader Dalbir Singh.

The minister said, while the law will take its own course and investigations will reveal the motive and the culprits behind the murder of Dalbir Singh, he condemned Majithia for trying to politcise it.

“But if Majithia thinks that by leveling such baseless allegation he can divert the public attention from the issue of drugs and sacrilege, he is miserably mistaken”, he said, while adding, “the crimes of Akalis, Majithia in particular will always haunt him and so will the law and government till he does not land in jail and join the same gangsters he patronized as their godfather”.
