Lovely Professional University’s 18th Annual Inter-School Youth Festival, Spectra 2026, emerged as a dynamic confluence of creativity, conscience, and change, embodying the spirit of EduRevolution.
More than a cultural celebration, this year’s edition evolved into a purposeful movement aligned with India’s transformative educational vision and the aspirations of a new generation of thinkers, creators, and leaders.
Bringing together thousands of students, Spectra 2026 featured over 30+ competitions spanning music, dance, theatre, literary arts, visual arts, media, and fashion.
From classical and western vocal performances to instrumental showcases, semi classical and western group dances, skits, mime, nukkad natak, poster making, clay modelling, cartooning, short film production, and the much anticipated Spectra Runway Fashion Show, the campus resonated with artistic excellence and youthful energy.
Beyond performance, the festival promoted meaningful intellectual engagement. The Grand EdRev Youth Parliament, EduRev Quiz, debates, elocution contests, exhibitions, and curated fireside conversations transformed the university into a vibrant arena of dialogue. Students not only displayed talent but also debated policy, questioned conventions, and articulated ideas shaping the future of education and society.
In the Grand Finale, the School of Liberal and Creative Arts (Fine Arts) was crowned the Overall Champion, followed by the School of Computing and Artificial Intelligence as the First Runner Up and the School of AI and Emerging Technologies as the Second Runner-Up, while in the Spectra Runway Fashion Show, the School of Online and Distance Education secured the Winner’s title, the School of Computer Applications earned the First Runner-Up position, and the School of Education was declared the Second Runner-Up.
Dr. Ashok Kumar Mittal, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and Founder Chancellor of LPU, along with Col. Dr. Rashmi Mittal, Pro Chancellor of LPU, felicitated the champions. Addressing the gathering, Dr. Mittal stated, “In the 21st century, education must transcend the boundaries of classrooms and curricula, and at LPU, we live by this philosophy every day. True learning flourishes when creativity converges with critical thinking, when expression is guided by responsibility, and when young minds are empowered to question, collaborate, and innovate.”
Adding further excitement to the celebrations, renowned Punjabi actor singer Gippy Grewal and acclaimed actress singer Nimrat Khaira visited the campus to promote their upcoming film Viyah Kartare Da. Their interaction with students infused the festival with vibrant cultural energy and created memorable moments amid the academic and artistic fervour.
Complementing the competitive spirit was a lively carnival atmosphere, where student-run stalls displayed budding entrepreneurial ventures and generated revenue. This initiative not only encouraged creativity but also provided hands on business exposure, encouraging students to innovate and lead with confidence.
LPU consistently encourages such large scale experiential events as integral extensions of academic learning, empowering students with confidence, collaborative skills, industry exposure, and the ability to translate passion into purpose.
