SGPC President strongly condemns sacrilege of Sri Guru Granth Sahib in Ambala

Amritsar, July 21, 2022 (Yes Punjab News)
Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) President Advocate S. Harjinder Singh strongly condemned the crime of sacrilege of Sri Guru Granth Sahib at Punjabi Gurdwara Sahib in Babyal village of Ambala district and demanded strict action against the accused people.

S. Harjinder Singh said Sri Guru Granth Sahib is supreme for Sikhs and every Sikh has great devotion and reverence for the Guru (master).

“The Sikhs can never tolerate the sacrilege or disrespect of Gurbani. Some forces with a narrow mentality want to disturb peace by hurting religious sentiments of Sikhs”, said S. Harjinder Singh.

SGPC President said that the fresh incident of sacrilege has occurred at Punjabi Gurdwara Sahib in Main Bazar at Babyal in Ambala, where the angs (limbs) of holy saroop (scripture) were torn and thrown under the palanquin.

He said on receiving the information about the incident, SGPC member from Ambala S. Harpal Singh along with some Sikhs reached the spot, who got a case registered through local Sikh Sangat (community) at Mahesh Nagar police station in Ambala.

S. Harjinder Singh demanded from the government to expose the forces working to commit such highly deplorable crime by immediately arresting the accused people and giving them strict punishments so that nobody dares to commit such an act in future.
