Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami held a review meeting with SGPC members and managers of historical Gurdwara Sahibs of Majha zone regarding management and instructed them to take the works being done to provide facilities to the Sangat (pilgrims) on priority.
During the meeting, the fiscal affairs of Gurdwara Sahibs were also discussed with regards to the upcoming budget session of SGPC.
SGPC President instructed the managers that any sought of negligence should not be adopted in the management of Gurdwara Sahibs and the convenience of the Sangat should be taken care of from every aspect. He also instructed the managers to give special attention to the timely completion of ongoing works of Kar Sewa (voluntary service) in the Gurdwara Sahibs.
Motivating to complete the audit of Gurdwara Sahibs of the last fiscal year, SGPC President said that all the expenses incurred should be borne in a systematic manner and every effort should be made to avoid unnecessary expenses.
He also urged the Sangat to extend maximum support for the management of Gurdwara Sahibs and that the history of the Gurdwara Sahibs should be displayed at the premises in a proper manner so that the Sangat that visits to pay obeisance is aware of the historical significance of the respective shrine.
On this occasion, SGPC members from Majha zone also expressed their views and gave their suggestions for the betterment of the management of Gurdwara Sahibs.
