Who is patronising drug trade by Police officials, asks Valtoha

Shiromani Akali Dal today urged Punjab and Haryana High Court Chief Justice to take suo moto notice and order Judicial enquiry into recovery of 2 kg Heroin from Police Officials from Ferozepur even as party asked Chief Minister Mr. Bhagwant Mann and DGP Gaurav Yadav to disclose who was patronizing this drug trade by police officials.
Addressing a press conference this afternoon at the party head office, Senior SAD leader Mr. Virsa Singh Valtoha said that in a joint operation by BSF and local committees formed by villagers, two policemen were detained after they were spotted near border in village Dhandiwal. He said that two kg heroin was recovered from their car which they had hidden in bonnet of the car. He said that when a person made video from the spot these policemen tried to hide their faces.
He said that on one hand officials of Ferozepur police have confirmed arrest of two Jalandhar police officials from Jalandhar with two kg Heroin but SSP Mukhwinder Singh Bhullar claiming that a drug smuggler Malkeet Singh Kali who was arrested on September 9 had disclosed about this 2 kg heroin and police officials just recovered it from the spot where Kali had hidden it.
He said that the statement of SSP was amusing who said that police officials hid it in the bonnet only because they were afraid that someone could snatch it from them. He wondered if police officials are scared whom Punjabis can trust for their security.
He alleged that police was trying to hush up the case.
Mr. Valtoha asked Chief Minister Mr. Bhagwant Mann and DGP Gaurav Yadav to tell who was patronising this drug trade by Police officials ? He said that as Home Minister Mr. Mann should also tell who is running this drug trade in police. He said that as he had raised his voice against then AIF Rajjeet Singh, it seems that many Rajjeet were still working in Punjab Police and involved in this drug trade. He said that earlier Mr. Bhagwant Mann used to say that governments patronise drug mafia now he should tell whom in his government were patronising this drug trade.
He said that Mr. Arvind Kejriwal had claimed in 2022 elections if elected AAP will wipe out drug mafia in three months. He said that now when more than one and a half year of this government has passed this drug trade has spread to each and every corner of the state.
He said that video of Chogawan village went viral in which a person asks whether youth have got drug and some person present on the spot replied that they have got it but some others were saying that they are yet to get drugs. He said that this situation is visible in every corner of the state and unfortunately girls are also taking drugs in large number.
Replying to a question of media, Mr. Valtoha lashed out AAP for allying with Congress in INDIA alliance. He said that earlier they used to term Congress as enemy of the nation and now they have allied with them in INDIA alliance.
