The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) today condemned chief minister Capt Amarinder Singh for using crude and vulgar language against Union minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal when the latter urged him to use the funds and food material provided to him by the centre for the welfare of the State.
In a statement here, senior SAD leaders Balwinder Singh Bhundur and Maheshinder Singh Grewal said it seemed the chief minister had lost his mental balance. “There is no other reason for him to use such foul language against a Union minister who was only recounting the funds as well as food stock Punjab has received from the centre after March 20 this year when COVID-19 broke out in the State”.
Stating that it did not behove a chief minister to act like a lunatic, the senior SAD leaders said “it seems you are so far removed from reality that you are willing to listen to anything your chums tell you in the evening and vomit it out without thinking the disgrace it is causing to the high office of chief minister of Punjab. The State has never had such a foul mouthed chief minister who is even oblivious about the dignity of women, including a woman who is representing the State in the council of ministers at the centre”.
The SAD leaders said the very fact that Capt Amarinder was claiming that Punjab had not received one penny from Punjab on account of COVID-19 had made him unfit for office. “It is for the first time that we have a CM who is blatantly lying and trying to disprove fund and food material transfer which has already happened”.
The SAD leaders also reminded Capt Amarinder that he had a history of lying and had proved to be a compulsive liar in the past also. “You have even lied and taken false oaths on the holy Gutka Sahab and the Dasam Pitah. You are the last person who can accuse anyone else of being a liar”.
