Renowned senior journalist Shangara Singh Bhullar cremated

Chandigarh/SAS Nagar, December 12, 2019 (Yes Punjab News)

The mortal remains of renowned senior journalist S. Shangara Singh Bhullar (74), who died on Wednesday evening, were consigned to the flames by his son S. Ramneeq Singh and S. Chetan Pal Singh at cremation ground, Sector-57, Mohali, here today.

The Health & Family Welfare and Labour Minister, Punjab, Mr. Balbir Singh Sidhu paid tribute and laid wreath on behalf of the Chief Minister Punjab Captain Amarinder Singh. He also shared his condolences with the deceased’s wife Mrs. Amarjit Kaur Bhullar and said that Mr. Bhullar’s demise was irreparable loss not only for the family, but for the journalistic world and society at large. S. Bhullar worked as editor in Daily Punjabi vernaculars Rozana Spokesman, Punjabi Tribune, Punjabi Jagran and Desh Videsh Times.

The Deputy Director (Press) from Public Relations Department, Punjab Dr. Ajit Kanwal Singh Hamdard laid wreath on behalf of Chief Minister’s Media Advisor Mr. Raveen Thukral, while Mr. Navdeep Singh Gill, President, Punjab Public Relations Officers’ Association and Mr. Narinder Pal Singh Jagdeo laid wreath on the body on behalf of DPR, Punjab.

Mr. Saurabh Duggal, General Secretary, Chandigarh Press Club also paid homage by laying wreath.
