Simranjit Singh Mann-led Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar), Dal Khalsa and United Akali Dal have decided to honour ‘Khalsa Aid’ chief Ravi Singh and ‘Sikh Relief’ chief Balbir Singh Bains would be honoured with Bhai Ghanaiya Awards for the humanitarian work done by both the Sikh personalities.
These awards would be in recognition of their services towards the humanity and for spreading the philosophy of Guru Nanak across the world with the unique and noble works done by their organizations.
This was decided here at a joint meeting of the SAD (Amritsar), Dal Khalsa and United Akali Dal which was attended by the top leaders of these parties.
Ravi Singh and Balbir Singh Bains would be bestowed the honour at a separate function being organized by the three parties at Sultanpur Lodhi on 12th of November to commemorate 550th Parkash Purab of Sri Guru Nanak Dev.
“Ravi Singh and Balbir Singh Bains are being conveyed the decision along with the invitation to attend the same at Sultanpur Lodhi,” a spokesperson of the three parties said.
