Santokh Singh Sukh, the father of popular Bigg Boss 13 Contestant, Punjabi Singer and Model Shehnaz Gill has been booked for rape.
The case has been registered on the complaint of a woman from Jalandhar.
The 40-year old woman has reportedly stated that one Lucky Sandhu alias Randhir Singh Sandhu, a resident of Jalandhar is his friend for last 12 years. She said that they had fallen apart some days ago and she had learnt that Lucky was residing at Beas with Santokh Singh Sukh.
She told police that on May 14, she along with her female friend went to Beas to meet her friend in their Alto Car at around 5.30 in the evening.
The victim said that when they reached Santokh Singh’s house he was waiting for them and took her in his car saying that he will take her to Lucky. He, however drover to Rohi Pul in Beas and forced himself on her in the car itself on gunpoint. She has alleged rape. She said after raping her he threatened her that he would kill her if she revealed anything anybody. She however, reported the case to police on Tuesday.
Confirming that a case has been registered, Inspector Harpreet Kaur, IO of the case said, the accused was absconding and police were conducting raids to nab him.
A case under relevant sections has been registered at Beas Police Station but the accused has not been arrested so far. The police are investigating the case.
As such, no version of the accused or anyu family member of the accused has surfaced.
