The Punjabi Cultural Society of Chicago (PCS) proudly participated in the 91st annual Chicago Thanksgiving Day Parade, continuing a tradition that began in 2005. This parade, recognized as the second largest televised Thanksgiving parade in the United States, draws millions of viewers nationwide and thousands of enthusiastic spectators who lined State Street to kick off the holiday season.

PCS Showcased honorable Healthcare Heroes, and Vibrant Punjabi culture in the mainstream.

PCS unveiled a unique medical-themed float, celebrating the dedication and contributions of community healthcare professionals. Adorned with symbolic decor and vibrant colors, the float featured PCS volunteers and healthcare workers in authentic medical attire, showcasing the critical role of medicine in community wellbeing.

This tribute highlights PCS’s commitment to health advocacy and recognizes the tireless service of doctors, nurses, and first responders.

Adding to the parade’s festive atmosphere, PCS performers energized the crowds with traditional Bhangra dance routines and lively Punjabi music. Dance groups brought the rich heritage of Punjab to life, captivating audiences both in-person and on national television. These cultural performances underscore PCS’s mission to promote understanding and appreciation of Punjabi traditions in the heart of Chicago.

As the nation’s second largest Thanksgiving parade, the Chicago Thanksgiving Day Parade boasts extensive television coverage, reaching millions of households across the United States. Lawrence Ave., Chicago, IL 60630. Performance items coordinators and participants are requested to start forming performance teams.
