Punjab to set up ‘Regulation Authority’ for Quality Education in State: Rana Gurjit Singh

Technical education minister of Punjab Mr. Rana Gurjit singh today announced that the Punjab Government would soon set up a ” Regulation authority” to ensure the quality in technical education so that best skills could be developed amongst youth to enable them the enterprenures instead of job seekers .

Today addressing the students here at IK Gujral Punjab Technical University in Kapurthala during the mega job fair , the Minister said that “the focus of the department is to provide the best technical and practical education to the youth which would not only make them the competitors at globe level but also the industry to get the skilled force.

Talking about the issue of brain drain, the Minister said that the Punjab Government would organize a seminar on how to provide the best employment opportunities at abroad to the Punjabi students besides avoiding any fraud with the students.

Hailing the efforts of Chief Minister Punjab Mr Charanjit singh Channi who earlier holds the technical education department, said that Punjab Government is committed to make Punjabi students as a skilled workers as it will not only provide employment opportunities to the youth as well as the skilled force to the Industry.

Earlier, the Minister also visited the placement cells of renowed 56 companies where he exchanged his views with the employers and job seekers.

The Minister also distributes appointments letters to 11 candidates of PTU besides given loan sanctioned certificates to the youth for self employment.

In mega job fair, 1284 youth took part out of which 432 selected for jobs by more than 29 companies.

He also announced to make the youth Simranjeet singh as a brand ambassador for district kapurthala to the war against drugs who shuns the drugs and selected for Job under the Red Sky Mission of Punjab Government.

He also made a promise to a girl Deepakjot kaur from kapurthala to visit his house soon to share his ideas for successful entrepreneurship who were selected and wants to start her own unit.

Earlier the Minister also paid rich tributes to the late prime minister of India Mr IK Gujral alongwith other dignatries.

Speaking on the occasion Deputy Commissioner Deepti Uppal said that the district kapurthala has got the first position in providing employment to the youth under medium district catageory. Besides that since 2018 after establishment the beareau, they have made 189 placement camps and 15204 jobs were provided to youth .

Earlier Registrar of IK Gujral PTU Mr Jaspreet Singh IAS have welcomed the cabinet Minister Rana Gurjit singh .

Prominet amongst present on the ocassion included ADC D SP Angra , SDM Dr Jai Inder singh, Tara Singh, Vishal soni etc.
