The first book of Hardeep Kaur, who has been active in Punjabi journalism for nearly two decades, will be released by Speaker of the Punjab Legislative Assembly Kultar Singh Sandhwa on October 25 in Chandigarh.
Hardeep Kaur is the national president of Disha Women Welfare Trust, an organization that has been fighting for women’s rights for a long time. Chairperson of the trust Dr. Rimmi Singla said in an information released here today that Hardeep Kaur has raised the problems of women through her social programs.
Based on these problems, he has written a book called ‘Shamshan Ghat Sau Gaya’. This book is in the headlines even before its release. Many famous authors have given their reviews about this book.
Singla said that Speaker of Punjab Vidhan Sabha Kultar Singh Sandhwa will participate as the chief guest in the release ceremony to be held at Chandigarh Press Club on October 25. Punjab Raj Women’s Commission Chairperson Raj Lali Gill will preside over the function.
Mohali MLA Kulwant Singh, Balluana Assembly Constituency MLA Amandeep Singh Musafir and Padmashri Jagjit Singh Dardi will participate as special guests.
Senior journalist and literary thinker Jagtar Bhullar, storyteller and analyst Jasveer Rana, writer, poet and translator Deepak Chanarthal will also specially participate and discuss about Hardeep Kaur’s first book.
