Punjab Horticulture Minister Mohinder Bhagat today laid the foundation stone for the two road projects worth Rs. 59 lakh, marking another milestone in the city’s ongoing development drive.
Sharing details, the Minister said that two major road works will be completed in Raja Garden and Ganesh Nagar areas costing Rs. 59 lakh (Rs. 19 lakh and Rs. 40 lakh) to further strengthen road network in the city. He noted that these key projects will fulfill major demands of residents of Jalandhar West Assembly Segment.
Accompained by Mayor Vineet Dhir, Mr. Bhagat said the initiative will significantly ease traffic congestion and enhance road safety in the area. He reiterated that the Punjab Government under Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is committed to all-round infrastructure development, with no shortage of funds for public welfare projects.
Residents of both localoties hailed the state government for the project, emphasizing that it will greatly improve connectivity and provide relief to daily commuters in one of the busiest intersections of the city.
