Punjab Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development and Fisheries Minister S. Gurmeet Singh Khudian on Tuesday handed over appointment letters to four newly recruited employees of the Animal Husbandry Department at the Punjab Civil Secretariat.
The new recruits include three clerks and one Group-D employee.
Congratulating the appointees, Khudian urged them to perform their duties with dedication, integrity and a strong commitment to public service. He said honesty and transparency were essential for ensuring effective and accountable governance.
Khudian said the Punjab Government, led by Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann, had provided more than 69,000 government jobs across various departments since taking office.
“We are not just filling vacancies, we are building a stronger and more efficient administration. We are moving at a historic pace to ensure that every eligible youth gets an opportunity to contribute to Punjab’s development,” he said.
The minister encouraged the newly appointed employees to uphold the values of public service while carrying out their responsibilities and contributing to the efficient functioning of the department.
Director Animal Husbandry Paramdeep Singh Walia and other senior officials of the department were also present during the appointment ceremony.
