Punjab Govt was, is and will be with farmers always: Aman Arora

Punjab Information Technology, Governance Reforms, Employment Generation, Training and Skill Development Minister Aman Arora said here today that Punjab Government was fully cognizant about the concerns of farmers as it was, is and will be standing by the state peasantry forever.

The Minister stated that Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann led Aam Aadmi Party’s Government has fulfilled the legitimate demands of the farmers and taking up strongly with the Centre to get remaining ones done.

Presiding over a function of Arora Mahasabha, Punjab to honour its office bearers here at local DAV College, Cabinet Minister Aman Arora said it was commendable that Sabha would work against the menace of drugs under ‘Yudh Nashean Virudh’ campaign of Punjab Government. He
also pointed out that the contribution of Aroravansh community’s was highly praiseworthy for the overall development of every sector across the country. He called upon the community members to carry forward the welfare efforts in larger interests of the society.

Interacting with the media persons, Aman Arora said that the Punjab government aware about the interests and concerns of farmers and committed to resolve their issues pertaining to the Center. He said Punjab Government had already accepted their genuine demands and will stand by them in getting the others fulfilled from the Union Government.

Referring to a query about the Congress leader Partap Singh Bajwa’s statement of action to be taken against officials after formation of their Government, the Cabinet Minister said that the Congress Party and its leadership was badly rejected by the people and Bajwa was day dreaming to get power, which would just remain dreams.

The Minister stated that the State Government was committed for holistic development of Punjab and the ‘Badlada Punjab’ budget would further give impetus to put Punjab on high growth trajectory. The landmark reforms in Health and Education Sectors are apparently visible and lakhs of people are getting benefits of these endeavours, he added.

The Minister also mentioned that Punjab government would soon strengthening the infrastructure of 541 service centers thus upgrading the delivery of 438 citizen services. The Minister, who is also holding portfolio of Employment Generation, said that Punjab government had set new milestones in the field of employment by providing 51655 government jobs to youngsters, which is a big achievement. He said that it is proposed to spend Rs. 230 crore for skill development training and career counseling, to facilitate unemployed youth to become self employed.

Earlier, addressing the function, Aman Arora assured that demands of the community related to Pathankot, Hoshiarpur and Chandigarh would be fulfilled shortly. The office bearers of the Arora Mahasabha announced that they would extend full cooperation in Punjab government’s campaign against drugs and take steps to create awareness about the ill effects of drugs across the state.

The office bearers of the Arora Mahasabha Punjab thanked and honored Cabinet Minister Aman Arora, Tanda MLA Jasvir Singh Raja Gill, MLA from Chabbewal Dr. Ishank Kumar and MLA from Moga Dr. Amandeep Kaur, Chairman of Backfinco Sandeep Saini and Chairperson of the District Planning Committee Karamjit Kaur. Earlier, Cabinet Minister Aman Arora was also given a guard of honour on his arrival at DAV College.
