The Punjab government has declared Friday, August 23 as public holiday on account of Janamashtami.
All the government offices, corporations, boards and educational institutions will remain closed on Friday.
Earlier the holiday for Janmashtami was listed for 24th of August.
It may be recalled that Haryana Government and Chandigarh Administration have also declared August 23 as Public holiday in place of August 24.
