Punjab Governor Sh. Gulab Chand Kataria will lead a ‘Jan Yatra Against Drugs’ on March 27, 2025 from Shri Ram Bhawan Kharar in the Morning (9:00 am).
This yatra will follow the route Arya College Road, Bansawali Chungi, National Highway (Kharar-Chandigarh Road), Qila Complex, Christian School, Gill Hospital Road, Landra Road, Bhuru Chowk, Main Bazaar Kharar, Pakka Darwaja, Arya College Road and will culminate at Shri Ram Bhawan followed by a ‘Nagrik Abhinandan’ in the honour of Governor Punjab.
Divulging the details, Sub Divisional Magistrate, Gurmander Singh said that Governor Punjab will arrive at Shri Ram Bhawan at 8:30 in the Morning. After having the Parikarma (religious round) of Maharaja Ajj Sarovar, he will also perform Kar Sewa for the construction of the Grand Temple of Lord Rama in the middle of Sarovar.
He further said that the programme has been chalked out by the Shri Ram Mandir Ajj Sarovar Vikas Samiti to propagate the Punjab Government’s message-Yudh Nashya Virudh, with the help of students and general public.
Exhorting the students and general public to be the part of the awareness campaign being led by the Governor of Punjab, he said that all the arrangements en route ‘Jan Yatra Against Drugs’ have been completed by the Administration.
