Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann held a grand roadshow in Delhi’s Gandhi Nagar Assembly on Thursday. Chief Minister Mann arrived here on the occasion of the nomination of AAP candidate Naveen Chaudhary Deepu from Gandhi Nagar.
A large number of AAP workers and local people participated in the roadshow. The people warmly welcomed Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and the AAP candidate. Mann claimed a big victory for the party and said that the huge crowd today has proven that the people of Delhi are going to form the Aam Aadmi Party government again.
Mann urged the people to decide the future of their family and children on the 5th Feb. Therefore, choose someone who knows how to work and does not engage in hate politics. He said that the responsibility of the future should not be given to those who use abusive language. Those who do hate politics can never do good for you.
The journey that Arvind Kejriwal started from Ramlila Maidan has expanded to many places today. Our government was formed in Punjab. We have our mayor in Chandigarh. We have our mayors in Jalandhar and Patiala.
The Aam Aadmi Party governs MCD. We have five MLAs in Gujarat, two MLAs in Goa, three Lok Sabha members from Punjab, and seven Rajya Sabha members. Additionally, there are three Rajya Sabha members from Delhi. In just 10 years, the Aam Aadmi Party has become a national party. This is a great achievement.
Mann stated that the works done in Delhi, whether it’s Mohalla Clinics and government hospitals, the transformation of government schools, free electricity and water, or free bus travel for women, have all been implemented in Punjab as well.
It has been almost three years since the government was formed in Punjab. So far, we have built 850 Mohalla Clinics in Punjab. Treatment in government hospitals is free, and we are transforming government schools.
Mann said that just like in Delhi’s government schools where the children of the rich and poor sit on the same bench, the same is happening in Punjab. Our children are clearing IIT and NEET. For the first time in Punjab’s history, last year, 158 students from government schools cleared the JEE-Main exam and passed the IIT entrance test.
In the past three years, we have provided more than 50,000 government jobs in Punjab. Every village in Punjab has seen its youth getting government jobs, and that too without any bribes or recommendations.
Praising the AAP candidate, Mann said that Naveen Chaudhary Deepu, wants to work for this area. Coming from a modest family background himself, he understands your problems. So elect him, as he will stay among you and work for you after winning.
He said our election symbol is the broom, and the job of a broom is to clean. In Punjab and Delhi, we have cleaned the mud with our broom, which is why the lotus is not blooming in either place. BJP has single-digit MLAs in both Punjab and Delhi. The same will happen this time as well. Even the BJP knows that nothing will come of their efforts in Delhi.
Mann accused BJP and Congress of stealing the Aam Aadmi Party’s term “guarantee.” He said earlier they used to call it a manifesto, then a resolution letter, and even a declaration letter, but ever since Arvind Kejriwal started giving guarantees, they also started calling it a guarantee.
He said that the BJP is deliberately filing false cases against AAP leaders. They have imprisoned our leaders in false cases. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was kept in jail. I want to ask them: you may imprison Kejriwal, but will you be able to imprison his ideas and thoughts?
