The Punjab unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party has begun preparations for the 2027 Assembly elections, with a state-level meeting of office-bearers and district presidents focusing on organisational strengthening and a booth-level election strategy.
The meeting was held at the BJP office in Ludhiana under the leadership of Punjab BJP president Kewal Singh Dhillon. State Organisation General Secretary Srinivasulu, BJP national secretary and Punjab co-incharge Narendra Raina, newly appointed members of the state body and district presidents attended the meeting.
Detailed discussions were held on strengthening the party organisation and preparing a roadmap for the upcoming Assembly elections. The leaders expressed confidence in the party’s central leadership and Dhillon and resolved to contest the 2027 polls with unity and determination.
Congratulating the newly appointed office-bearers and district presidents, Dhillon said the organisational positions carried a significant responsibility towards both the party and Punjab. He urged the leaders to work with dedication and integrity and strengthen the BJP’s presence from villages and cities to every polling booth.
Taking aim at the Aam Aadmi Party government, Dhillon alleged that it had failed on every major front. He cited the law and order situation, drug menace, gangsterism, rising debt and unemployment among the issues confronting the state.
Dhillon claimed that the BJP had now emerged as the only hope for Punjab to overcome these challenges. He called upon party workers to take the policies and development initiatives of the Narendra Modi-led Central Government to every household in the state.
He said a strengthened organisational network and sustained public outreach would be central to the BJP’s preparations for the 2027 Assembly elections.
