The Punjab Government has appointed three State Information Commissioners. Two posts of State Information Commissioners are still lying vacant.
Those appointed as State Information Commissioners include Dr. Bhupinder Singh, Sandeep Singh Dhaliwal, and Virinderjit Singh Billing.
Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria accorded in-principle approval to the state government’s recommendation, on Monday evening, after which a notification to this effect was issued.
There are total five posts of Information Commissioner. All the posts were lying vacant and the commission was working with only the Chief Information Commissioner.
