Two Joint Directors, Six Deputy Directors Appointed Following DPC Approval

The Punjab Government’s Information and Public Relations Department has announced the promotion of eight of its officers, marking a significant uplift in the department’s hierarchy.

The promotions include the elevation of two Deputy Directors to the rank of Joint Director, the advancement of five Information and Public Relations Officers to the position of Deputy Director, and the promotion of one Art Executive to Deputy Director.

Following the approval of Information and Public Relations Minister Harjot Singh Bains, new posting orders were also issued to these eight promoted officers on the same day. These promotions were a result of the Departmental Promotion Committees’ meetings held by the Information and Public Relations Department on May 8th.

Extending his congratulations to the newly promoted officials, Minister Harjot Singh Bains urged them to disseminate the policies and achievements of the state government with renewed determination. He emphasized the importance of effectively communicating the pro-people and welfare schemes of the Bhagwant Mann government to the wider public.

In the posting orders issued to the promoted Joint Directors, Ishwinder Singh Grewal has been assigned to the Head Office in Chandigarh, while Manwinder Singh has been appointed as Joint Director Press/Chief Minister, and will also hold the additional charge of Joint Director Border Range Amritsar.

Among the six officers promoted to Deputy Director, Ruchi Kalra has been posted at Bathinda, Rashim Verma at the Head Office with the additional responsibility of Sri Anandpur Sahib, Navdeep Singh Gill at the Head Office in Chandigarh, Prabhdeep Singh Kauldhar at the Head Office with an additional charge in Sangrur, Hakam Thapar at Jalandhar, and Hardeep Singh at the Head Office.

The newly promoted officers formally assumed their new responsibilities today in the presence of Mr. Ramveer, the Secretary of the Information and Public Relations Department. The promoted officers expressed their gratitude to Minister Harjot Singh Bains and the senior officials of the department for this recognition and opportunity.
