Poonam Sharma Takes Over as 42nd National President of FICCI Ladies Organization – FLO

Ms. Poonam Sharma takes over as the 42nd National president of the FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO), the oldest women-led and women-centric business chamber of South East Asia for the year 2025-26.

New Delhi April 1, 2025 Ms Poonam Sharma took over as the 42nd National President of FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO), the business women wing of FICCI and the oldest women-led and women-centric business chamber of Southeast Asia. at the 41st Annual Session on March 31, 2025.

As the 42nd National President of FLO Ms Poonam Sharma with a year long tenure 2025-26 will be focussing on empowering women by facilitating an enabling environment that promotes entrepreneurship, industry participation and economic development of women. Under her leadership, FLO will carry out many interventions towards fostering larger contributions of women in India’s Industrial and economic growth story.

FLO (FICCI Ladies Organisation) was established in 1983 as a division of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI). FLO serves as an all-India forum for women, with its headquarters in New Delhi and 20 chapters across India, representing over 13,000 women entrepreneurs, professionals, and corporate executives – and counting.

“FLO empowers women by fostering leadership, skills development, and creating a platform to showcase their talents across various sectors for an inclusive economic growth trajectory. During my tenure, the FLO will carry out many interventions towards fostering larger contributions of women in India’s industrial and economic growth story. “ said Ms Poonam Sharma, Newly appointed National president of FLO.

Ms. Sharma said her focus would be to transform the power of women’s voices into forward thinking economic initiatives by changing perceptions and influencing policies.

Ms. Poonam Sharma is a dynamic entrepreneur in the health and wellness sector. A global advocate for Ayurvedic products, she is closely associated with the Baidyanath Group, a pioneering Ayurvedic brand with a legacy spanning over a century.

Through her extensive travels, she promotes and educates people about the benefits of Ayurvedic medicines, tonics, and cosmetics. Additionally, she is the Founder and Director of Ayurvedant and Mantra Herbals.

Poonam Sharma is also responsible for the operations of the Veerangna Foundation, which focuses on the welfare and upliftment of women in Bundelkhand, emphasizing skilling and providing medical and healthcare services to the poor. Her dedication to philanthropy and community service is a testament to her commitment to creating a positive impact on society.
