PAU student bags Best Oral Presentation Award

Er Baldev Singh Kalsi, a Ph.D. scholar in the Department of Processing and Food Engineering, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), has been conferred with the “Best Oral Presentation Award 2021” in the category “Processing, Dairy and Food Engineering” during the 55th Annual Convention of ISAE and International Symposium on “Emerging Trends in Agricultural Engineering Education, Research and Extension” organized jointly by Indian Society of Agricultural Engineers (ISAE), New Delhi; Dr Rajendra Prasad Central Agricultural University, Pusa, Bihar and Bihar Agricultural Management and Extension Training Institute, Patna, Bihar.

This award was presented for the paper entitled “Manothermosonication: An emerging food preservation technology” authored by Baldev Singh Kalsi, Sandhya and Dr Mohammed Shafiq Alam. Presently, he is pursuing his Ph.D. research on the “Development of process protocol for the production of powder from stevia (Stevia rebaudiana)” under the guidance of Dr Sandhya, Senior Scientist, Department of Processing and Food Engineering, PAU.

Dr (Mrs) Sandeep Bains, Dean, Postgraduate Studies; Dr Ashok Kumar, Dean, College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology; and Dr Mahesh Kumar, Head, Department of Processing and Food Engineering, PAU, congratulated the student for this achievement.
