Ms Arpna Bajpai, Ph.D scholar of the Department of Soil and Water Engineering, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), has been conferred with “Best Paper Presentation Award” in the 55th Annual Convention of Indian Society of Agricultural Engineers (ISAE) on “Challenges and Technological Solutions for Ensuring Food, Water and Energy Security” & International Symposium on “Emerging Trends in Agricultural Engineering Education, Research and Extension” for the paper entitled “Optimizing Lateral Depth and Spacing for Subsurface Drip Irrigated Rice-Wheat Cropping System under Conservation Agriculture through Simulation of Water and Nitrate Movement”.
The paper is co-authored by Arun Kaushal and Harminder Singh Sidhu. The international symposium was organized by Indian Society of Agricultural Engineers, New Delhi from 23 to 25th November 2021.
Ms Arpna Bajpai completed her PhD degree under the guidance of Dr Arun Kaushal, Professor , Department Soil and Water Engineering ,while her PhD research field work was carried out at BISA (Borlaug institute for South Asia)Farm ,Ludhiana under the Supervision of Dr HS Sidhu (Sr Research Engineer and incharge BISA, Ludhiana).

Bains, Director of Research, Dr Ashok Kumar, Dean, College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology, Dr T.S. Riar, Additional Director, Communication and Dr J. P. Singh, Head of Soil and Water Engineering department, congratulated Ms ArpnaBajpai and the team for this achievement.
