Ms Antima Sharma, a Ph.D. research scholar, Department of Fruit Science, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), bagged the “Best Oral Presentation Award” at the “3rd Indian Horticulture Summit-cum-International Conference-2024,” organized by the Sri Karan Narendra Agriculture University, Jobner, Rajasthan, at the Rajasthan Agricultural Research Institute, Jaipur.
Under the mentorship of Dr Nav Prem Singh, Professor, Department of Fruit Science, Ms Sharma delivered a presentation on the topic “Effect of Prohexadione calcium on tree morphology, fruit yield, and quality in pear cv ‘Punjab Beauty’ trained on Espalier trellis system.”
The significance of her work was acknowledged not only by her academic mentor but also by the student’s advisory committee, represented by Dr Parmpal Singh Gill, Dr Sucheta Sharma, and Dr (Mrs) Nirmaljit Kaur.
Dr Satbir Singh Gosal, Vice-Chancellor, PAU; Dr Manav Indra Singh Gill, Dean of Postgraduate Studies, and Dr HS Rattanpal, Head, Department of Fruit Science, congratulated Ms Sharma for her notable achievement.
