PAU Provides Hand-Holding to Emerging Skin Care Brand ‘Glow More’

In a remarkable effort to support budding entrepreneurs, the School of Business Studies (SBS) at Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), provided strategic guidance to Ms Vasu Singh, the founder of Glow More, an emerging brand specializing in organic, handmade skincare products.

Ms Singh, a resident of Khanna and M.Sc graduate, visited the SBS through the National Initiative for Developing and Harnessing Innovations – Technology Business Incubator (NIDHI-TBI), a Department of Science and Technology, Government of India (GoI), sponsored project.

The idea of a natural handmade skincare product range, incepted in her mind when her mother underwent severe facial pigmentation due to medication and it made her loose her confidence. Ms Singh recently attended the agri-startup workshop organized by NIDHI-TBI to seek advisory services for her business from experts of SBS.

After a satisfactory interaction with industry leaders, entrepreneurs and academic experts as well as Ph.D scholars, Ms Singh visited the school for further hand-holding related to marketing and branding of her business, distribution and inputs related to unique packaging for her organic and natural handmade skincare products.

Dr Ramandeep Singh, Director, SBS, PAU and Principal Investigator, NIDHI-TBI project, honored the young girl for her influential work towards strengthening women empowerment.

He equipped her with innovative and unique packaging recommendations included adopting sustainable refill options, redesigning the brand logo for better visual appeal, and exploring innovative packaging solutions like transparent or uniquely shaped bottles.

Dr Rakesh Rathore gave inputs related to enhancements such as the use of light, water-based fragrances; and the introduction of pump bottles for better hygiene was also suggested to increase customer satisfaction.

Mr Gurinder Singh, CEO, NIDHI-TBI, provided suggestions related to labeling and adding descriptive benefits of different product range, and working upon the font size for labeling different products.

Mr Sameer Gautam, BM, NIDHI-TBI, provided information related to packaging copyrights and also suggested water-based formulations to enhance product usability and its skin compatibility.

Dr Navneet Kaur helped her to successfully design the logo for the company and network for other entrepreneurs in the industry.

Ms Roohi shared insights about the lapses in the previous packaging and worked upon customized solutions for different skin types and skin issues.

Ms Singh expressed her gratitude for the constructive inputs and sustainable agri-business solutions as incubate at NIDHI-TBI, DST, GoI project.
