The Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs) of Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) were felicitated during the Kisan Mela at Bathinda on March 29 for promoting PAU farm literature among the farmers.
Divulging details, Dr TS Riar, Additional Director Communication, said that the KVKs and their teams were honoured for promoting PAU farm publications during the corona times. The KVK, Goneana, Sri Muktsar Sahib, bagged the first prize for the years 2018-19 and 2019-20. Dr NS Dhaliwal, Associate Director, KVK, Goneana; Dr Karamjit Sharma, scientist; and his team received the award from the chief guest Sardar Kultar Singh Sandhwan, Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker.
Dr MS Bons, Deputy Director, KVK Hoshiarpur and his team got the second prize on behalf of the KVK, Hoshiarpur which secured second position for the year 2018-19. Dr AS Sandhu, District Extension Specialist, Bathinda received the award on behalf of KVK, Bathinda that got second prize for the year 2019-20.
The KVK, Hoshiarpur and the KVK, Goneana, Sri Muktsar Sahib bagged the first and second prizes, respectively, for the year 2020-21.
