Parvasi Adhyan Kendar of Gujranwala Guru Nanak Khalsa College, Ludhiana released the thirteenth volume of its quarterly magazine PARVAS.
It was released by eminent personalities like Nakshdeep Panjkoha (American Parvasi Punjani writer), Prof Gurbhajan Singh (former President, Punjabi Sahit Akadmi, Ludhiana), Dr. S. P. Singh (former Vice Chancellor, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar), Dr. Arvinder Singh, college Principal, Prof. Manjeet Singh Chhabra, Director, GGNIMT and S. Kuljit Singh and S. Hardeep Singh (worthy members of Gujranwala Khalsa Educational Council). Dr. S. P. Singh who is the chief editor of this magazine told that the main author of this volume is Jarnail Singh ‘Do Taapu’.
This volume has got the poems written by Ravinder Ravi (Canada), Davinder Kaur Chandan (Wolverhampton), Surinder Sohal (America), Ukarpreet (Canada), Jeet Surjeet (Belgium), Amanjit Kaur Sharma (America), Prof. Parvinder Singh (America), Ravinder Singh Sodhi (Canada), Harjinder Singh Jinda (Canada), Rupinder Singh Deol (Canada), Sumit Kaur (Australia), Prof. Gurbhajan Singh Gill (Ludhiana) and Gurdeesh Kaur Garewal (Canada) and the stories by Dr. Baldev Singh Khehra and Nadeem Parmar. Dr. Dhanvant Kaur, Professor, Punjabi University, Patiala has talked about the life long impressive contribution of Darshan Dheer which is remarkable.
Nakshdeep Panjkoha, while sharing his valuable views said that ‘Parvas’ magazine has provided a common platform to the renowned Parvasi Punjabi writers and has also given an opportunity to the establishing writers to make their name in this field. He also offered financial support to the Parvas Kendar.
Prof. Gurbhajan Gill, who is the chief advisor of ‘Parvas’ magazine told that this magazine has got popularity and has also become a renowned magazine world-wide and it has also been receiving favourable response from the readers. He also threw light upon the new section of Bharti Punjabi Kavita (Indian Punjabi Poetry) which has just been commenced in which the readers will be made aware of newly published Indian/Punjabi books.
Dr. Bhupinder Singh, Head, Post Graduate Department of Punajbi, Dr. Gurpreet Singh, Prof. Sharanjit Kaur, Dr. Harpreet Singh Dua, and Dr. Tajinder Kaur, Prof. Jasmeet Kaur and Rajinder Singh also witnessed the event.
