The Regional Passport Office (RPO), Jalandhar, successfully organized a Passport Mela on Saturday, November 23, 2024, witnessing attendance from over 300 applicants. The event aimed to minimize pending cases, address grievances, and reaffirm the office’s commitment to providing seamless services to citizens.
According to Regional Passport Officer Mr. Yashpal, more than 270 applications were approved and cleared for passport issuance during the Mela. He emphasized that the initiative was designed to curtail delays in processing applications and spread awareness about the office’s dedication to hassle-free service delivery.
The RPO also announced plans to organize similar Melas and special camps in the future to further facilitate passport applicants within its jurisdiction. “Applicants with pending files are encouraged to visit the RPO Jalandhar between 9:00 AM and 12:30 PM on any working day, with or without an online appointment, along with the necessary documents,” said Mr. Yashpal.
