Nine PPS Officers Promoted to IPS Officers

New Delhi, August 8, 2025 (Yes Punjab News) –

The Ministry of Home Affairs has promoted nine Punjab Police Service (PPS) officers to the prestigious Indian Police Service (IPS).

Out of the nine promoted officers, five have been allocated to the 2019 batch, while the remaining four are placed in the 2021 batch.

The officers promoted to the Select List of 2019 are:

• Mandhir Singh

• Snehdeep Sharma

• Sandeep Goel

• Jasdev Singh Sidhu

• Sandeep Kumar Sharma

The officers included in the Select List of 2021 are:

• Gurpreet Singh

• Rupinder Singh

• Sarabjit Singh

• Harpreet Singh Jaggi

As per the official notification, these officers will serve a probation period of one year, as per the Indian Police Service (Probation) Rules, 1954. Additionally, they will undergo induction training in accordance with sub-rule 5(4) of the amended Indian Police Service (Probation Rules, 1954), dated May 10, 2011.
