MLA Mohali, Kulwant Singh, visited various registration centres today to review the implementation of the Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojana and to ensure that the registration process is being carried out smoothly.
The MLA inspected registration centres at Jujhar Nagar, Phase-6, Mohali Village, Phase-1, Phase-3B1, Phase-10, Sector-66, Bakarpur, Saneta, Sector-79 and Sector-77.
Interacting with mediapersons, MLA Kulwant Singh said that under the leadership and directions of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, several welfare schemes are being implemented across the state to ensure overall development. He added that the pace of development in Punjab has accelerated significantly compared to previous years.
Highlighting the importance of the scheme, he stated that the Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojana has been launched to safeguard the health of citizens.
Under this scheme, eligible families will be entitled to free medical treatment up to Rs 10 lakh in empanelled hospitals. Large-scale registration is currently underway to ensure that beneficiaries receive their health cards at the earliest.
He informed that necessary arrangements have been made by the government for the effective implementation of the scheme and that the registration work at all centres is progressing satisfactorily.
He emphasized that no eligible family should be left out of the scheme, and workers and supporters of the Aam Aadmi Party are actively spreading awareness to ensure maximum coverage.
The MLA further stated that across Punjab, thousands of people are availing services at Mohalla Clinics every day, where free medicines and essential diagnostic tests are being provided along with consultations by experienced doctors.
Speaking about development in Mohali, he said that the city’s overall development is progressing in a planned manner.
To ease traffic congestion, link roads connecting the industrial area are being constructed on a large scale, and new roundabouts are also being developed.
Several party leaders and local representatives were also present on the occasion.
