MP, MLAs, DC & CP join sea of devotees in Shobha Yatra to mark Parkash Purb of Guru Ravidass

Lok Sabha MP Chaudhary Santokh Singh, MLAs Mr Sushil Kumar Rinku and Chaudhary Surinder Singh, Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar Mr Varinder Kumar Sharma and Commissioner of Police today joined sea of devotees in the shobha yatra to mark the parkash purab of Sri Guru Ravidass ji Maharaj.

The MP, MLAs, Deputy Commissioner and Commissioner of Police said that this shobha yatra was a glorious tradition of the Jalandhar district. They said that this shobha yatra was being organized in the district from last more than eight decades. They said that it was a matter of great pride and satisfaction for all of us this rich legacy was continued by the city residents.

The MP, MLAs, Deputy Commissioner and Commissioner of Police further said that Sri Guru Ravidass ji Maharaj had propagated the message for carving out an egalitarian society. They said that following this message in right earnest was the need of hour to carve out a harmonious society based on equality and justice. They called upon the people to follow the ideals preached by the great Guru ji and contribute for the well being of the society.

The MP, MLAs, Deputy Commissioner and Commissioner of Police said that such endeavors were the need of the hour to strengthen the social fabric of the country. Felicitating the people on this solemn occasion, they urged the people to tread the path shown by Sri Guru Ravidass Maharaj ji. They also lauded the role played by the various social organizations to make this shobha yatra a huge success.

On the occasion, Additional Deputy Commissioner Mr. Jasbir Singh, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Mr. Harpreet Singh, Assistant Commissioner of Police Mr. HS Bhalla and others were also present.
