MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla held a meeting with the Amritsar Airport Advisory Committee. During this, he emphasized that harassment of passengers should be reduced and flights should be increased. During this, the parking area was also asked to be improved.
MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla reached Sri Guru Ram Das Ji International Airport yesterday where he held a meeting with the Airport Advisory Committee.
Airlines managers and other airport officials participated in this meeting. MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla said in the meeting that just like the direct flight to Nanded Sahib from Amritsar Airport, flights should also be operated for other religious places.
So that passengers coming from the country and abroad can take flights from here for other religious places after paying obeisance at the Golden Temple. Apart from this, he also emphasized on starting flights for other destinations.
MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla also discussed the harassment of passengers in front of the committee. He said that many passengers complain that they are harassed in the name of checking at Amritsar airport instead of Delhi airport.
MP Aujla said that this kind of attitude will reduce the number of passengers, which will not only cause loss to the airport but will also affect the development of Amritsar city. He said that in one case, a passenger was traveling from abroad with a GPS system but action was taken against him at Amritsar airport.
That is why this matter should be considered very seriously so that security is not affected and innocent passengers do not face any problem. MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla also talked about the parking area during this time. He said that many times illegal collection is done by the parking contractors at the airport, which is completely wrong.
This should be repaired and the parking area has been demolished and repaired many times, so it should be finalized in one go and built in such a way that every passenger prefers to come here.
MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla said that Amritsar is a tourist area and the economy of this place depends on the passengers coming here, so special care should be taken of the convenience of the passengers and the best facilities should be provided at the airport.
